Professor and dean Schmidt of School of Agriculture and Horticulture of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin paid an exchange visit to our school.

On March 15, UweSchmide, professor, dean of School of Agriculture and Horticulture of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and director of Biological System Engineering Department, Doctor Thorsten Rocksch and doctoral student Yu Wenjuan (postgraduate of our school in 2012) of Horticulture Department paid an exchange visit to our school at the invitation of our school's facility horticulture team and the Chinese project team of "Facility Horticulture Water and Fertilizer Integration Technology". Dr. Huang Danfeng, Niu Qingliang, Chang Liying, Zhang Qidong, Zhang Jingjin, Miao Yubin from School of Mechanical Engineering and the relevant postgraduates attended the meeting. Dean Zhou Pei was presentthe meeting andintroduced the relevant information of the school and expressed the intention to establish further cooperation relationship.

Professor Schmide introduced the general conditions of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, School of Agriculture and Horticulture and Biological System Engineering Department and made special academic report on plant production and phenotype detection system in an enclosed system. Doctor Rocksch presented the academic report on "Horticultural Plant Optimization Model Based on Specific Ion Nutrient Control". On behalf of the facility horticulture team, Zhang Jingjin introduced the research work of the team. In addition, both parties made in-depth exchange and discussion on scientific research cooperation and technical exchange recently.

On March 16, Professor Niu Qingliang accompanied Professor Schmide and others to visit Jinshan Scientific Research Base of our school, Shanghai Huawei Water-saving Irrigation Co., Ltd. and other units, checked and investigated horticulture facilities, irrigation equipment, production equipment and management technologies of our city and also made in-depth discussion on details of water and fertilizer integration technology, application and docking thereof.
