On October 23, the SECOND CONGRESS of the College of Agriculture and Biology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University of the Communist Party of China was successfully held. Gu Feng, executive deputy secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the closing meeting and made a speech. Zhu Xinyuan, member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and vice president attended the opening ceremony and made a speech. Former deputy secretary of the university Party Committee Jiang Xiuming attended the meeting. Representatives and guests of the second Party Congress of the college attended the meeting.

The conference was presided over by Xue Hongwei, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Biology.

Zhu Xinyuan at the opening ceremony of the conference on behalf of the school Party committee to the conference to express warm congratulations. Zhu Xinyuan pointed out that the university Party Committee has always attached great importance to, concerned about and supported the development of the College of Agriculture and Health. In recent years, under the leadership of the first Party Committee of the College, the college has made steady development in various undertakings and continuously improved its educational level, making solid steps toward the goal of creating a world-class new agricultural science with Chinese characteristics. It is hoped that the college should have a deep understanding of the glorious mission of building new agricultural science in the new era and the arduous task of training outstanding talents in new agricultural science. Under the strong leadership and careful organization of the new Party Committee of the College, it will open a new chapter of accelerated development, strive to build world-class agricultural sciences with Chinese characteristics in all aspects, and make more contributions to the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.

Hou Shibing made a report on the work of the Party Committee with the theme of "Building Virtue, Strengthening Agriculture, Strengthening Agriculture and Promoting Agriculture for Building World-class Agricultural Science with Chinese Characteristics". Report summarizes the college for the first time since the party's each work, comprehensive analysis of the current college reform and development facing the opportunities and challenges, institute of clear goals for the next five years, around the "talent strong school, study in jiaotong university, integration innovation, internationalization and culture leads" five major strategies, implement the work everywhere, promoting college each enterprise realize leap-forward development. Hou emphasized that the leadership of the party should be upheld to ensure the correct direction of running schools; We should insist on strengthening the college with talents and building a first-class teaching staff. To adhere to the three integrity education, training outstanding new agricultural talents; Insist on indomitable, deepen the connotation of discipline and scientific research construction; To adhere to international cooperation and enhance the global influence of the college; We must persist in cultural innovation and create a positive and progressive ecological environment. Study and implement the Party's twenty spirit with full spirit, strive to create a new situation of Party construction and reform and development of the college.

Gu Feng at the closing meeting on the successful convening of the conference and the second session of the college Party Committee expressed warm congratulations. He fully affirmed the work of the first Party Committee of the college, and hoped that the new Party committee would continue to perform their duties, work hard and lead all the teachers, students and staff to unite and work hard under the guidance of the Party's twenty spirit, create a new situation for the development of the college, and contribute to the country to accelerate the construction of a strong agricultural country. We must consciously raise our political position and uphold and strengthen the Party's overall leadership. We should strengthen talent guidance and drive, and promote the construction of high-level teaching staff. We should aim at the highland of scientific research and innovation and speed up the construction of first-class new agricultural sciences.  Write a brilliant chapter in the construction of first-class new agricultural science of the college.

Hou Shibing delivered the closing speech. He pointed out that the second congress of the College of Agriculture and Biology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University of the Communist Party of China has successfully completed all the agendas. The next five years will be the key stage for the College to achieve leapfrog development.  We will strive to achieve the goal of building world-class agricultural sciences with Chinese characteristics and contribute to the national strategy of high-quality development and rural revitalization.

During the meeting, a group meeting of deputies, a meeting of the presidium and an election meeting were held. The meeting deliberated and adopted the Resolution on the Work Report of the First Committee of the Second Congress of the College of Agriculture and Biology of the Communist Party of China Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Report on the collection, Use and Management of Party Fees.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the participants also watched the meeting between the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 20th CPC Central Committee and Chinese and foreign journalists.

The meeting elected the new Party Committee members of the College. Wang Dapeng, Zhu Bo, Sun Jianhe, Li Xinhong, Chen Han, Chen Gongyou, Zheng Hao, Hou Soldier and Xue Hongwei were elected as the Party committee members of the Second session of the College of Agricultural Health.

After the closing ceremony of the second Party Congress of the College of Agriculture and Health, the first meeting of the second Party Committee members of the College of Agriculture and Biology was held. The meeting elected Hou Jianjun as the secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and Xue Hongwei, Chen Han and Zheng Hao as the deputy secretaries of the Party Committee of the College.

Spring tillage autumn Yun Qianshan Cui, not to raise a whip from courageously hoof! The blueprint of building first-class agricultural science has been drawn, and the new journey is at our feet.  Strive to build our college into a world-class agricultural department with Chinese characteristics at an early date, and make greater contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the progress of human civilization!
