- Interaction between animal virus and host systems
The research interest is to analyze the molecular mechanism of viral immune escape triggered by virus encoded structural or non-structural proteins, such as porcine delta coronavirus. Most of my work was focusing on the novel innate immune signal molecules and signal transduction pathways in pigs. The results will provide a theoretical basis for analyzing the pathogenic characteristics of the virus, developing new vaccines and drug.
- The mechanisms employed by bacteria to resist phage infection
It is very important to develop bacteriophage preparations for drug-resistant bacteria. The tolerance of bacteria to bacteriophages is a major problem. We intend to analyze the resist mechanism of host bacteria to bacteriophages and the evolving mechanism of bacteriophages breaking through the tolerance of bacteria, The findings contribute to the application of phages to control antibiotic resistant bacteria infection.
- Toxicological mechanism and detection technology of mycotoxin
Focus on mycotoxins, we study the molecular signal regulation pathway of mycotoxin induced cytotoxicity. By using quantum dots and group modification, combined with nucleic acid aptamers, we develop a rapid qualitative and quantitative multiple immunoassay method with sensitive and high-throughput. Results provides a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of mycotoxin poisoning, and reserves a detection technology platform for mycotoxins.
